This Would Never Happen Today
You’re sitting at home on the sofa, catching a moment of rest while your kids play in their room when there’s a knock at the door. You open the door and find a man with a pony asking to take pictures of your children. These door-to-door photogs were called “kidnappers” because they would offer free photos and charge a ransom for them after they were developed.
In today’s world, we might have called the cops the second we saw them through our Ring doorbell, but in the 1960s, it was so popular that Reddit is now flooded with the nostalgic photos. Despite how common kidnapper pictures are, you have to admit it’s pretty wild that these parents were saddled up on the same pony.
