The go-to household cleaning liquid for toilets, sinks, and anything in between is Domex. However, Domex isn’t even the original name. in fact, it originated in the UK back in the late 1920s. In its country of origin, Domex goes by the name Domestos, which sounds pretty reasonable.

Once again, we have Unilever to thank for all of the confusion. In different parts of Europe, Domestos is sold as Domesto, Vim, and Glorix. The bottles and labels look quite similar, but it’s just the name that differs from region to region. In Kazakhstan, it’s called Klinex, so we wonder what they call Kleenex there.
