The Imperial vs Metric debate needs much more space than this to discuss it properly. The vast majority of the world measures weight, length, distance, and temperature in the Metric system. They talk about kilograms, kilometers, and celsius.

Over here in the States, however, we’ve decided to stay out on a limb with our Imperial system. We’ll talk about pounds, miles, and Fahrenheit, and then wonder why everyone else is confused. Maybe one day we’ll swap over to something that isn’t so confusing to do math with.
