Another thing that just doesn’t exist in schools in other countries is the concept of a pep rally. We Americans do love our school sports, and the role of the crowd in building up the team is just as important as the role of those on the court. Therefore, pep rallies, where we try and get everybody enthusiastic for the upcoming game, are really important.
They just don’t have them elsewhere, though. Obviously, school students will go and watch sporting games and tournaments that their school teams participate in, but the idea of having a rally the night before to get everyone excited is very weird to them.
