Merry Mitchell has a question about fairness, and wonders why the American school system splits you into groups based on ability. This is more common perhaps in America but happens quite frequently all around the world as well.
Like many things in the world of education, there are pros and cons to this system. If you’re in a similar ability grouping then the teacher can pitch things at the right level, but you’re not benefitting from the different perspectives of your other classmates. Essentially: it’s complicated.
