#46: Ancient Flex
Can you imagine being the archeologist to find this and then translating it to get… this? I’d have laughed for weeks. To put this ancient flex into perspective, the average untrained human can lift about 85 pounds over their head at one time. With training, they can easily do 115 pounds.
This may have been a record for the time, but it’s long since been blown out of the water. Žydrūnas Savickas set the record for the overhead lift in 2010 at 469 pounds. He also has the record for deadlift, established in 2014, at 1,155 pounds. Sorry, Bybon son of Phola. You’re not that impressive anymore.
