Be Alert
Many of us probably didn’t pay close attention in class, but can we really hold it against teens that they have more pressing concerns than paying attention to a teacher droning on about dull history when they’re dealing with all the drama of high school? There’s no point in blaming them; we’ve all been students, and we know how challenging it is to maintain focus in a classroom setting.
Furthermore, most of what we learn in school is irrelevant to our lives as working adults. Don’t get me wrong, I loved learning about the past since it gave me a better understanding of the present. However, I do not hold it against them when they have trouble paying attention in class.
