Margot Robbie blocks the pain in ‘I, Tonya’
To play ice skater Tonya Harding in 2017’s I, Tonya, Margot Robbie studied how to ice skate. She practiced for four hours daily, five days a week over the course of five months.
Despite not performing all high-flying twists and spins, Robbie skated in 30 to 40 seconds of each of Tonya’s routines. She suffers a cervical herniated disc illness that is only discovered when her arms become numb!
