And Another Visit from Aunt Flo
You’re not supposed to feel a tampon when it’s inside. It’s like contact lenses. You know it is there, but you don’t feel it. If you do – you inserted it wrong. You’re supposed to change a tampon every 6 hours tops. Sometimes it feels kind of squishy inside (or it leaks) and you know it’s time to change it – but the squishiness might be wrong.
If you tug the string and it doesn’t come out easily you know the tampon is still dry and you leave it in for longer. There is a certain amount of trial and error in this process but every woman knows her body. Plus, it generally doesn’t matter too much if you change it a bit sooner or a bit later.
