Unlike the subjective world of Hollywood where only the super-duper lucky make it past the list of B-list actors, you can succeed in the professional sporting world with blemishes on your body. This is Cody Miller, a competitive swimmer with a deformation in his chest known as pectus excavatum.
Surprisingly, the cavity did nothing to interfere with his desire to become a professional swimmer. At just eight years old, he took up the sport at a more serious level. In 2016, he took home the bronze medal in the 100-meter breaststroke category. It just goes to show that if there’s a will, there’s a way.
