A Nasty Accident
As we mentioned in a previous item, injuries can happen. Injuries are a part of the competitive sporting world, but some of them can be so bad that players are forced to retire for good. Here, we see Janos Baranya, an Olympic weightlifter who participated in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
After all that the intense training he put himself through, he signed up to lift 148 kilograms of iron. However, the weight seemed to be too much for Janos to bear, and he ripped multiply ligaments in his arm in the process. The former judo star still competes, but his most recent appearance on the world stage was in 2015 in Houston, Texas.
