The nation of China has been known for many things throughout its very long and rich history but recently it has been known for something else, censorship. The government in China actively uses censorship to control what is being released to the public. Their argument is that it helps maintain order and keep lies and slander from spreading. But others would counter that by saying freedom of speech should be just that, free.
