Buckingham Palace Renovations
In an attempt to keep things as realistic as possible, the production team of Bridgerton kept one minor detail in mind while they were filming external shots of Buckingham Palace. If you notice, there are many parts during the first season that show the building being renovated with scaffolding and tons of workers.
Apparently, the royal residence was actually undergoing reconstruction in the early 19th century which is the time period when the show supposedly occurred. This was when they turned the structure from Buckingham Home to the iconic Buckingham Palace we know today. Talk about historical accuracy and attention to detail!
