40+ of the Highest Budget Movies that Flopped at the Box Office

January 31, 2015 by Veronica Phillips

Gemini Man – $75 million

Lately, it seems that everything Will Smith stars in is bad, either in terms of box office performance or movie quality. First, there was After Earth, which was a disaster from start to finish. Then there was Winter’s Tale where he appeared whiny. Collateral Beauty was funny at times it wasn’t trying to be. And then there’s Gemini Man that was too ambitious for its own good.

Gemini Man starred Will Smith twice, playing both Henry Brogan and Junior. Some critics claim that this was less of a movie and more of an experiment to see how far CGI could go. Sony lost $75 million due to this “experiment.”
