No Cutting Corners
A Deadpool impersonator on Twitter wanted to throw virtual hands with Wendy’s over—*checks notes*–the squareness of its patties. They questioned whether Wendy’s was against meat that was “equidistant of the center,” or round in shape to in regular-folk speech. There’s a very good reason why Wendy’s uses square patties and not round ones, but we’re not going to get into that.
Wendy’s excuse is that they “don’t cut corners.” That’s a creative take on their square patties, but the Wendy’s social media manager made a terrible mistake by not correcting a typo in their response. You bet that the Deadpool impersonator pounced on the opportunity to point out the typo.
