Free Scraps
In America, we consider scraps as people’s leftover food, or food, unfortunately, in some circumstances, for the homeless. But in the UK, scraps are an actual meal, even though it’s kind of the same idea. It’s not leftover food on people’s plates. Even the Brits wouldn’t do that.
Scraps, in the UK, are cooked pieces of batter that were left over in the deep fryer from the chefs cooking a variety of fried meals. Since they would technically be part of one’s meal, the (batter scraps) are brought to the table without being requested or even charged for.
