The normal laws of physics most definitely don’t apply to cartoons, especially gravity. Remember Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner? Try as hard as he might, Wile E. Coyote could never outsmart the Road Runner. If anything, not only were his attempts foiled but he was almost always left humiliated and hurt.
The funniest part was when he would run off cliffs and somehow he wouldn’t actually fall until he noticed there was nothing underneath his feet. The Road Runner on the other hand remained unaffected by it all. That’s not how gravity works in real life but anything goes when it comes to cartoons. Beep Beep!
