Alicia Silverstone
Alicia Silverstone became a teenage movie star after appearing in Clueless in 1995, where she played a popular, high-spirited, hopeless romantic, high school student. All-in-all, a role for any former cheerleader to have perfectly fulfilled. Silverstone was a cheerleader at San Mateo in California prior to her appearance in Aerosmith’s music video for “Cryin’”, the project that initially got her noticed.
Silverstone has continued to star in films such as Crush, Batman & Robin, and Blast from the Past. It was hard not to know her name in the 1990s. Silverstone’s devotion to her successful acting career is a proven drive from the effort she put into representing San Mateo in the most classically spirited way: cheerleading.
