Madonna
Before becoming one of the most legendary pop singers of all time and the very first performer on MTV’s Video Music Awards in 1984, Madonna was cheerleading at Rochester Adams High School in Michigan while earning straight A’s. Although Madonna was a bright student, she would soon learn that academics wasn’t for her.
In 1995, Madonna accepted a dance scholarship to the University of Michigan. She was enrolled for two years before moving to New York City in 1977 to pursue a career in dancing professionally. Throughout the years, Madonna proved that she had just as much talent as a singer than she did on the dance floor, and discovered where her true passion lies.
