Diane Sawyer
Diane Sawyer’s most popular work is as a news anchor for ABC World News Tonight and Primetime Newsmagazine. But before bringing the news to a wide audience, she was cheering in front of audiences for sports teams at Seneca High School in Colorado. Sawyer also participated in America’s Junior Miss Pageant in 1963 after graduation.
Sawyer received an English degree from Wellesley University in 1967. Her newscasting career began when she started working as a weather forecaster in Louisville but truly showed a passion for being in front of a large audience when she craved more airtime at work. Even though already famous, Sawyer gained even more recognition after her personal interview with Caitlyn Jenner in 2015 made headlines.
