Popularity has been no stranger to Miley Cyrus. She rules Hollywood in the acting and singing game now, but before landing her first acting role as Disney’s Hannah Montana in 2004, Cyrus ruled the school hallways as a popular cheerleader. She eventually dropped out of high school to focus on her acting career. 

Dubbed a cute, innocent child star, Cyrus needed to work hard to no longer be seen as a Disney star by her audience. She caused controversy as she was transforming her audience from young girls to more adult appeal with her bold performances, suggestive costumes and provocative dance moves — and it worked! Cyrus is a very successful Grammy-winning artist and definitely not a little girl anymore.
