Another Bring It On! star, Gabrielle Newman, began cheerleading in high school just like her on-screen rival, Kristen Dunst. Union cheered at Foothill High School in North Tustin, California. Even though her experience on the squad was brief, she was still able to develop an energetic festiness and a competitive drive.

Union graduated from UCLA in 1996 with honors in sociology and took on an interest in acting afterwards. Bring It On! was Union’s big break, where she was able to combine her former love for cheer and her newest passion of acting. Even though she was a brief cheerleader IRL, she killed it playing Isis, a dedicated and extremely passionate cheerleader on the big screen.
