Ann Margret
Renowned singer and actress Ann Margret, who ruled Hollywood in the 1960s and 1970s, originally grew up as a small-town girl from Illinois and a cheerleader for New Trier Township High School. She attended Northwestern University after graduating high school but dropped out to follow her dreams of being a musician, her first introduction into the spotlight.
Margret’s debut album, Here She Is… Ann-Margret was released in 1961. She began to pursue acting shortly after. The now Golden Globe winner has starred in major productions and familiar classics like Bye Bye Birdie and Carnal Knowledge. Collectively, Margaret has appeared in over three dozen movies throughout her career and continues to act today.
