Your Favorite Celebrities Who Used to be Cheerleaders

With many comedians on our list, it seems that having a funny bone helps for having the positive attitude needed to be a great cheerleader. Before becoming a famous actress and one of the most hilarious cast members of Saturday Night Live, Poehler was a cheerleader at Burlington High School in Vermont. 

Poehler continued to focus on academia after high school, graduating with a degree in communications from Boston College before settling in Chicago to work on comedy. Poehler became a household name after landing a role on NBC’s famous sitcom, Parks and Recreation which ran from 2009-2015, and has starred in several films including Mean Girls & Baby Mama, both alongside Tina Fey.
