This Artist Reimagines Celebrities as Disney Characters, and It’s Spot-On

Mulan already has a live-action adaptation starring Chinese-American actress Liu Yifei as Mulan, and we like that Disney chose to embrace Chinese culture and heritage through that film. However, we can’t help but feel some of the charm of the animated film was lost in the process. If Disney ever decided to make another movie that follows the animated version more closely, we wouldn’t complain!

We think selecting Lucy Liu for the role of Mulan would be a match made in heaven. Her action scenes in movies like Kill Bill and Charlie’s Angels show that she could have what it takes to do Mulan’s character justice, not to mention that she’s downright gorgeous.
