#7: Billie Eilish as Kida from Atlantis
A cult classic with 90s kids, Atlantis is often overlooked as a Disney movie for some reason. We love the sense of adventure and interpretation of the mythical civilization in this movie. Kida’s thoughtful ambitions of saving her people and their culture mean learning to trust the expedition party from the outside, something not so easily done. In the end, Atlantis is restored but remains lost to the rest of the world.
We’ve never really thought of Billie Eilish as an actress because we imagine her insanely successful singing career keeps her busy, but seeing this picture seriously forced us to reconsider. We’d never imagined her as a typical Disney princess, but here we are. There’s just something about her gaze in these images that make us feel like she would do a fabulous job if Disney ever propositioned her for the part.
