What was this young man’s name back in the day? Of course, we’re talking about none other than Gwen Stefani here. Until No Doubt and The Voice came along, she was no different than the rest of us. When Gwen was a freshman at Loara High School in Anaheim, California, she had her first taste of the performing arts industry. Having Gwen play piccolo in the band assisted her in honing some of her musical abilities.
She performed in front of an audience for the first time while she was in high school, during a talent contest. Was she able to put her band-building skills to good use during her time in the ska music scene? There aren’t any that we’re aware of.
