The Wedding
In 1994, Celine and Rene got married. The wedding was a huge event, and it was highly glamorous and memorable. It took over 1000 hours to make Celine’s iconic silk wedding gown, which had a train measuring twenty feet.
She also wore a twenty-pound tiara. The wedding took place in Montreal’s Notre-Dame Basilica and Celine – who was practically Canadian royalty by this time – argued that her fans would want to share in the happy event, so, it was televised.
