Heated sidewalks and streets
Although snow and ice are simply wonderful when you are young, we kind of lose that exuberance as we get older. Slippery surfaces stop being a source of fun and become dangerous minefields with a possibility of a serious injury lurking on every corner.
Cities all over the world are trying to solve that problem. The most common solution is throwing salt on the streets and sidewalks. But the salt is abrasive and damages both the sidewalk materials and the people’s shoes. Prevention is the best medicine. Heated sidewalks are the best solution to the ice and snow problem. They immediately melt the snow and prevent it from becoming ice.
