Mandy Moore
Before Candy took the 1999 radio waves by storm, Mandy Moore was a cheerleader for a brief period of time. However, she was actually a pretty good singer even before she put on the pompoms. At just 13 years old, she was already discovered by Epic Records and signed a deal to begin working on her debut album.
Mandy attended Bishop Moore Catholic High School but dropped out to become a singer. She started off touring with and opening for NXYNC and the Backstreet Boys. Unfortunately, even Candy couldn’t help differentiate her from the other solo female artists at the time, like Britney Spears. In our opinion, Mandy is a much better actress than she is a singer, but she definitely has a beautiful singing voice.
