When you’re growing up with brothers and sisters, everything is a competition to show that you can not only do what they do, but you can do it even better than them. Your pride even swelled when you could do something better than an adult, whom you thought could do anything.
That didn’t matter for u/livinglife9009. They were more concerned with getting laughs out of their family and not letting dad feel all alone. It’s a small thing to do, but it’s a big-hearted gesture coming from a kid. This is one of the cutest secrets we’ve seen in a thread where we expected much worse. Our faith in humanity is restored.
