Don’t Wing Your Measurements
There are plenty of great bakers that don’t need to use exact measurements. This may be due to years of baking experience, or simply because they have a good eye for their ingredients. That being said, their numbers are few and far between. It is always important to avoid imperfect measurements in baking.
Using measuring cups, spoons, jars, and a kitchen scale will help you keep your recipes consistent. Not only that, it will give your dishes the best chance of coming out perfectly every time you bake them. Of course, pastry chefs and professional bakers often eyeball some or even all of their dishes, but it is not a good practice for beginners.
