Don’t Forget to Scrape Down the Sides
When mixing and when pouring any type of batter, it is easy to forget to scrape down the sides of your bowl. It might seem insignificant, but this is a common mistake that can leave your mix short on a few different ingredients. The last thing you want to deal with is too little baking powder in your cake, so scrape away.
Scraping your bowl will ensure you mix all of the ingredients properly, allowing them to do their magic. When you are pouring, it is also a good idea to scrape down the sides to fully fill your pan. A little bit leftover is normal, but if you are leaving behind large amounts of liquid your dish will suffer in the end.
