Using the Same Measuring Cups for Wet and Dry Ingredients
If you’re like most people, chances are you don’t use separate measuring cups for your ingredients. In other words, both your wet and your dry ingredients are measured out with the same set. While we won’t call it laziness, the lack of an extra step can actually mess up your baking efforts.
The main reason that you should never mix your measuring utensils is that wetness can cause dry ingredients to stick to the container. This can lead to inconsistency because there may be too much or too little of a particular ingredient added to the mix.
