Using the Wrong Temperature Butter
Butter is the main ingredient in many baked delights. Depending on what you’re making, you will need either melted soft or slightly firm butter. Make sure that you use the exact consistency that the recipe calls for if you want your dish to be perfect.
The best way to go about getting the right consistency butter is to leave it out on the table or counter to soften. That way, you can check on it periodically and use it the moment it reaches the softness your recipe calls for. Of course, for melted or browned butter, you can toss it on the stove or microwave.
