Starting Your Timer Late
There’s nothing worse than doing your mixing properly, following the recipe to the letter, and even having a perfectly primed oven only to forget the timer. If you forget to set your timer, don’t make the mistake of setting it at the start whenever you do remember. This can lead to burned food due to overcooking.
You should try to estimate how long your food has been in the oven already and then set up the time with the adjustment. Even though you adjusted the time, you will still need to keep a closer eye on your oven to prevent burning or overcooking your dish.
