Always Follow the Recipe
Once you’ve made something a few times, it’s easy to convince yourself that you’re expert enough to freehand it. There’s nothing wrong with experimenting, but not following a tried and true recipe is actually a recipe for disaster. Instead of being bold, consider looking up a new twist for your recipe instead.
Even what seems like the smallest change to a solid recipe can cause it to fail. You can go into your experiment knowing it can fail, just don’t say we didn’t warn you. Hey, you never know, you may just stumble upon the next big hit that you can share with your baking buddies over the weekend.
