Whether it’s about how time changes everything, how products are made differently for men and women, the magic of genes, or how our furbabies grow so quickly, these pictures will make you see the world in a whole new light.
What a Transformation
Never let anyone tell you that you can’t do something, no matter how easy or impossible it may seem. Just ask photographer Sebastião Salgado and his wife Lélia who literally transformed a deserted 600 hectares of barren land in Aimorés, Brazil into a thriving forest. The Brazilian couple founded Instituto Terra, an environmental organization in 2001.
They started with a simple dream to plant two million trees and that’s exactly what they did. Today, the area is home to a whopping 293 species of trees, 33 types of mammals, 172 species of birds, and many other endangered creatures. It’s amazing what one can do if they set their mind to it!
