A Living Sculpture
We’ve all heard of famous sculptures like David, Christ the Redeemer, and the Ecstasy of Saint Teresa to name a few but what sets this one apart from the rest is the fact that this is a living sculpture. Created by brother and sister artist duo, Pete and Sue Hill, the “Mud Maid” is located in the Lost Gardens of Heligan in Cornwall.
If you look at the two pictures, you will realize that her appearance changes as the seasons change. During spring and summer, she’s “dressed” in ivy and moss and looks more vibrant, while in winter, she’s covered in snow. It’s almost magical!
