#15: It’s Not Fair
I think this is something we’ve all noticed, but I can confirm this firsthand; my daughter is 13 years old. Not only is she unbelievably stylish, but she does makeup better than I ever have. It blends so beautifully! She completely skipped the awkward phase and went straight to the runway model, down to the shoes and sashay. It’s not fair.
When I was her age, I had that awful blue eyeliner and butterfly clips on my hair. I had zero confidence, wore baggy t-shirts everywhere, and couldn’t speak in public for anything. And that was the norm! I’m not sure what changed, though, and why this is happening. How are they all so confident?
