#27: Submersion
When you grow up with ads everywhere and companies tracking you for everything, you get used to it quickly. I don’t mind being tracked either, and I simply ignore the ads I don’t want to see. I’m not even sure of the last time I saw a TV commercial. I have never understood how Boomers could watch shows with interruptions every five minutes.
As for the ads, I’d much rather see tailored ads than random ones. When I search for new curtains, I don’t mind that every social media platform turns around and tries to find me a set I’d like. It’s an unpopular opinion, but that seems helpful more than anything else! It’s not like I’m doing anything illegal, and I have no shame in my search history game.
