#35: We Were Supposed to Be Skinny
We’re only now starting to understand that Millennial aesthetics were toxic. There’s no arguing that millions of girls nearly starved themselves trying to fit into the cute clothes at places like American Eagle. Some stores are still in business and don’t sell sizes over a medium. I’m relatively trim and still fit a large. It’s crazy!
If you walk into a middle or high school today, you’ll see kids of all sizes rocking their outfits. These are things we would never have worn if we didn’t have the toned tummy to go with them. I love the look of a little extra weight, so I’m glad they’re embracing their body types and loving life.
