Wow, there are some pretty wild HOA president stories on this list! This OP shared that his HOA’s former president suddenly fined everyone in the community for having a “dirty roof.” The residents were obviously bewildered because no one was sure how a well-maintained roof could be dirty. Turns out, the president had an ulterior motive.
He had started up a power-washing business around the time that these “fines” were issued to everyone in the neighborhood. He was basically trying to extort business out of his community by threatening to fine everyone if they didn’t clean their roof! His little hack didn’t work, though, because everyone caught on. The president was impeached, the fines were abolished, and he probably didn’t get any new power-washing clients.
