“No Parking in Your Driveway”: Reddit Users Share Wild and Confusing HOA Rules and Regulations

Here’s another example of an HOA that cares way too much about its schedule. This person has left their pumpkins out on their patio a few days after Halloween. What’s the big deal, right? Apparently, it’s a huge deal. In the few years that they’ve done this, a member of the HOA has come knocking on their door to complain about the “old” pumpkins. 

To be clear, our storyteller isn’t leaving their rotting pumpkins out in the middle of December. They’ve gotten complaints for leaving a pumpkin out until November 2. That’s literally a couple of days after Halloween! Having an HOA that closely monitors personal decor that is still season-appropriate sounds like a nightmare.
