#23: Flavor, flavor, flavor!
Jokes abound on the internet about bland food. So many people throw the chicken in a pan, add some cheese, serve it on pasta and call it a day. Food should have a variety of flavors! Just like this poster says, adding salt, lemon, herbs, and vinegar can take a bland meal and make it a masterpiece.
With so many options, there’s no reason your meals can’t pop like the professionals. I keep fresh basil growing in my kitchen and often use flavored salts to price up a dish. Ginger, garlic, bacon grease, and truffle oil can all take your dish to the next level. Experiment and find what flavors you like best, but don’t overdo it! “A little” really does “go a long way!”
