#38: Learn to disassemble an onion properly
Onions are used in so many different recipes (not to say, in every recipe), and millions of people every day find themselves crying while chopping. There are many tips and tricks on how to do this, but the best way is to watch a professional, so you get a good visual explanation.
There are also different types of onions you can use. Some are sweet; others are tart. Some you’ll want to cook, and others are better raw. I love using purple onions in my salsa and vidalia in my soups, but a good yellow onion is as versatile as it gets!
