#41: Garlic is bae
Garlic is amazing. There, I said it. There should be a club for garlic lovers. It’s one of my favorite ingredients, and sometimes I use it in dishes that don’t even have it listed. I prefer fresh garlic, which I then pare down with my zester, but I’m not opposed to an excellent roasted garlic powder!
Don’t make the newbie mistake I did, though. A clove or “glove” is different than a bulb! The clove is one small portion of the bulb. That was an, ahem, intense mistake. Garlic is also versatile. It can be used in whole chunks, crushed to release the juice, minced for finer additions, or left with the peel on to roast in the pan for a glorious post-cooking rub down.
