#6: Don’t be a wet towel
I’ve… never eaten a wet towel, so I’m pretty sure I’m safe on this one! Honestly, the comment is a little vague, but I think they’re referring to using a towel as an oven mitt. Water conducts heat, and so that wet towel won’t protect your hands when grabbing hot dishes.

There is an exception to this rule in the kitchen, however. If you’re trying to keep your phyllo dough moist, a wet towel laid over the sheets while you work is a must! Same concept for rising yeast. That moisture barrier is essential. So, keep your towels dry for handling hot items, and wet for keeping dough damp!
