What To Do?
Although everyone was simply in love with the cubs, the elephant in the room could no longer be ignored. These were wild bears, after all. What should be done with them? Should they be kept in captivity or released back into the wild? Neither prospect seemed like a good idea.
On the one hand, it would be dangerous to return them to the wild as they hadn’t learned how to hunt for food from their mother. This meant they would likely starve quickly. On the other hand, no one was keen on keeping two healthy bears in captivity if they didn’t have to.
