Chemically Enhanced Marketing
Breaking Bad was one of the most acclaimed television show that aired on AMC from 2008-2013. Almost everyone was a fan of the show that has 96 percent approval on Rotton Tomatoes and a score of 9.4/10 on IMDb. Whole Foods used the pop culture reference as a marketing tactic to attract customers to their Artisinal French Baguette sale.
$1.49 for a baguette is a great deal, but sometimes a sign promoting a discounted price is not enough to catch someone’s eye. Who wouldn’t spot Walter White staring back at you in Whole Foods next to a sign reading “Breaking Bread”? Any Breaking Bad fan would have to check this out, and why not grab a baguette while you’re there.
